Hours at a Glance

BEFORE YOU GO

Meeting Website

www.apsdfd2022.org
The Meeting website has additional information and links for transportation from the airport, dining options, parking at other locations, and more.

Mobile APP

The Meetings@APS mobile app is available for Android and iOS devices to help you manage your schedule and look up sessions. It will also keep you updated on the latest information regarding the Meeting. The app and virtual platform are connected. So your schedule will sync, and you can reach out to attendees who are attending in person or virtually.

Because of the size of the app, we recommend downloading it over a reliable WiFi connection before coming to the Meeting. The app may request permission to access other apps on your phone, such as calendar, camera, storage, and notifications.

THE PROGRAM

www.apsdfd2022.org/program-events
In addition to the Technical Program on the web, you can download a PDF version that includes a session grid and a Schedule at a Glance. This version will be available on-site.

Virtual Platform

The virtual meeting platform will be available for all attendees. When you log in with your APS credentials, you can browse the scientific program, create a personal schedule, network with other attendees, view ePosters, and watch on-demand videos. (Please note that DFD is not live-streaming sessions from the Meeting in Indianapolis.) Google Chrome is the recommended web browser to access the platform.  A personalized link will be sent to registrants prior to the meeting.

Please note: Not all speakers consent to be recorded or uploaded a video of their presentation, which may result in unavailable presentations.

The virtual platform will be available to attendees until December 31, 2022.

AT THE MEETING

Indiana Convention Center (ICC)

  • Entrances: there are many entrances into the Convention Center, both at street level and through the skywalks (enclosed walkways between buildings). A map designating these entrances is available for your reference. We’ve also provided a more extensive map of the skywalk system for your reference.
  • Floor plans of the ICC are available for your use. View floor plans here.
  • Staying hydrated: we are limiting the amount of bottled water served. The Center has water stations throughout the building, allowing you to replenish your water bottle as needed. Water will also be available to purchase at the Convention Center food kiosks.
  • Free WiFi will be available throughout the ICC on these networks:
    • In hallways and meeting rooms (excluding the Sagamore Ballroom): A password is not needed.
    • In Exhibit Hall: APS, the password is APS2022
  • Lost and Found: go to the meeting registration desk for any items found or lost

Networking & Career Fair Events

You may join an event for which you were not able to secure a ticket, by going to the location where it is being held and checking with the DFD staff.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

COVID-19

  • Please review all the APS COVID-19 safety precautions on the APS website.
  • You will receive a daily health assessment for your safety and that of the other attendees.
  • Although masks are not required, we suggest you bring one if the policy changes. A limited number of masks are available at the Registration Desk.
  • If you have symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 during the Meeting, please stay in your room and email safemeetings@aps.org to determine contact tracing and isolation guidelines.

YOUR STAY IN INDIANAPOLIS

Airport Transportation

www.apsdfd2022.org/hotel-travel/travel/
The distance from the Indianapolis Airport to the Convention Center is approximately 12.5 miles.

  • Taxis, Lyft, Uber, and buses all provide service from the airport.

Dining

https://www.visitindy.com/indianapolis-where-to-eat

There are several places to eat in and around the ICC.

  • Restaurants around the Hotel will be very busy Saturday night due to Colt’s game on Sunday afternoon. We suggest you make a reservation as soon as possible for dinner that night, especially if you have a large group.
  • You should also allow extra time on Sunday morning for breakfast.

Parking

https://www.icclos.com/attendees/parking/

Despite its significant parking spaces, finding Indiana Convention Center parking can be challenging, especially the night before and the day of a Colts’ game (there is one on Sunday, 1:00 pm). Consider booking parking in advance by clicking on “Parking” above. Look for the link to “Arrive.”
